Ordica

One endpoint in front of every model you already pay for.

Ordica is a small router. You point an OpenAI-shaped API at it, and it sends each request to a provider you choose — then tells you what the request cost, in dollars.

MIT-licensed. BYO-key first. The binary is the whole deployable.

What it is

One shape

Your code speaks POST /v1/chat/completions and that is the whole contract. The request you send is forwarded byte-for-byte — the router never re-encodes your body, so what the provider receives is exactly what you wrote.

Every model you already pay for

An alias is one name for one model, served by an ordered ladder of providers. chat-fast is minicpm-v today and something else tomorrow, without your code changing.

Costed in dollars

Every request is written to a ledger with its real price — input, output, images, video seconds — so a run is a number you can act on rather than a usage total you have to interpret.

A budget that stops, not warns

A per-key cap is enforced before the provider is called. A request that would overrun is refused up front, not billed and noticed later.

The honest part

The headline figure is cache savings, and it is reported as two numbers — how many tokens came from the provider's prompt cache, and what that saved. The second figure is a real calculation against the model's own rate card, never a rounded guess.

Not measurable is not zero

A model whose price row declares no cached-input rate has no rate to compare against. The console says not measurable for it, and names which model, rather than printing $0.00 — a saving with no measured rate is an invented number.

Provider quirks are surfaced, not hidden

The router forwards what the provider said. If a host cannot load a model architecture, you see that error, verbatim — the router does not smooth it into a generic failure.

An undeclared tier is refused

A video resolution a price row does not declare is refused, not priced at a neighbouring tier's rate. A rounded rate charges a job at a rate it did not run at.

Start

Ordica is in active development. The router is live and taking requests; the admin console is next.

Use it today

Point any OpenAI-shaped client at https://ordica.co/v1 with a caller key. See GET /v1/models for the aliases this router serves.

Run it yourself

MIT-licensed, one small Go binary, embedded web surfaces, a single SQLite file. Bring your own provider keys.
